“…, we are pleased to inform you that RITES has received a Letter of Award from Numaligarh Refinery Limited for ‘Railway Sidings at NRL Panchgram Terminal, 3rd Railway Spur at Rangapani (SMT) and Duliajan (Crude Oil TW Loading Railway Siding) of OIL’ on a turnkey cost-plus mode subject to detailed engineering approval from Railways,” RITES said in a regulatory filing on March 31.
The order, which will be completed in 24 months, is worth ₹155.50 crore excluding GST.
The company has also bagged another order from Oil India for “construction of Workmen Housing Complex (BQ Area) at OIL, Duliajan, on Turnkey Basis under Depository Works Mode.”
The order worth ₹157.25 crore (excluding GST) will be completed in 36 months.
Following this, shares of RITES soared 2.82% to ₹229.68 apiece on the National Stock Exchange.
Its market capitalisation stood at ₹10,986.12 crore.
Over a month, RITES share prices have gained over 15%, while year-to-date the scrip has lost 22.6%.
The company touched its 52-week high of ₹398.45 on July 8, 2024, and its low of ₹192.40 on Monday, March 3, 2025.
The Navranta PSU’s consolidated net profit fell 15% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹109 crore in the third quarter of FY25 (Q3FY25), compared to the ₹129 crore it reported in the year-ago period.
Its revenue from operations stood at ₹575.8 crore in the quarter under review, slumping 15.7% YoY from ₹682.9 crore reported in Q3 FY24.
Last month, the railway PSU firm had bagged an order worth ₹27.96 crore from the South-Central Railway. The project will involve the preparation of a detailed project report (DPR), the final alignment design, a traffic survey report, railway over railway (ROR) calculations, a detailed estimate and the preparation of the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) documents.
