Ramkrishna Forgings, one of the leading suppliers of rolled, forged, and machined products, announced on Monday, September 2, that it has received board approval for setting up an aluminium forging facility at Jamshedpur.
The company's filing said, "The Board of Directors has also given approval for an investment of ₹57.5 crore to set up the facility, which will primarily cater to the EV market." The project will be set up with a total installed capacity of 3,000 MT per annum and is expected to be commissioned by Q2 FY26. At the optimum capacity, the project will generate additional revenue of ₹175 crore per annum for the company."
Shares of the company ended 1.45% lower at ₹952.55 apiece on the BSE.
Ramkrishna Forgings was incorporated in 1981 and is headquartered in Kolkata. The company is a supplier to various sectors like automotive, railways, farm equipment, bearings, oil and gas, power and construction, and earth moving and mining, both in India and overseas markets.
It also supplies to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) such as Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, VE Commercial, and Daimler in India and to Volvo, Mack Trucks, Iveco, DAF, Scania, MAN, UD Trucks, and Ford Otosan in the overseas markets. It supplies globally to Tier 1 axle manufacturers like Dana, Meritor, and American Axles.
