RVNL share price: Shares of state-run Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd (RVNL) will be in focus on Tuesday, March 25, after the company emerged as the lowest bidder for the Central Railway project worth ₹115.79 crore.

The stock rose 1.7% to ₹377.85 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 9:25 am. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹78,782.48 crore.

In an exchange filing, RVNL informed that it has emerged as the lowest bidder for Central Railway's contract for "OHE modification work for up-gradation of existing 1x25 KV electric traction system to 2x25 KV at feeding system in Itarsi-Amla section in Nagpur division of Central Railway to meet 3000 MT loading target."

The company said the domestic entity's order needs to be executed in 24 months. The promoter or promoter group has no interest in the entity that awarded the award.

On March 21, Rail Vikas Nigam Ltd received a ₹554.64 crore contract from the National Highway Authority of India for the "construction of 6 lane Access Controlled connectivity to Visakhapatnam Port Road from Km 0.000 (Sabbavaram bypass of Anakapalli - Anandapuram corridor) to Km 12.660 (Sheelanagar junction) of NH 516C on Hybrid Annuity Mode in the State of Andhra Pradesh under NH (O) on Hybrid Annuity Mode."

Before that, the company bagged ₹156.35 crore from Southern Railway for "engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) for design, supply, erection, testing, commissioning of 2X25 KV OHE & PSI system (TSSs & SPs & SSPs)."

In the third quarter that ended December 31, 2024, RVNL reported a 13.1% dip in its profit after tax (PAT) to ₹311.6 crore, as compared to ₹358.6 crore post-tax profit in the corresponding period last fiscal.

Revenue from operations slid 2.6% to ₹4,567.4 crore in the latest October-December quarter, compared to ₹4,689.3 crore a year back.

Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) fell 3.9% to ₹239.4 crore in Q3 FY25, compared to ₹249 crore in the third quarter of FY24.
