RailTel bags multiple orders worth ₹312 crore; check all details

SUMMARY

RailTel secured multiple work orders totaling ₹311.68 crore, including ₹19.08 crore from BSF and ₹262.34 crore from the Odisha State Transport Authority. Shares of RailTel closed in the green at ₹295.35, up 2.04% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday.

Telecom company RailTel on Thursday, March 6, bagged multiple work orders, including one from the Border Security Force (BSF) and two from the State Transport Authority Odisha totalling ₹311.68 crore.

Shares of RailTel closed in the green at ₹295.35, up 2.04% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday.

According to an exchange filing, the work order from the BSF is worth ₹19.08 crore (or ₹19,08,82,886) and involves the supply, installation, testing, and commissioning (SITC) of hardware and software for BSF’s cloud network.

The order is expected to be completed by June 3, 2025, RailTel said in a filing to the exchanges.

Two orders from State Transport Authority of Odisha

The Navratna PSU also received two work orders from the State Transport Authority of India worth ₹262.34 crore and ₹30.26 crore.

The order, valued at ₹262.34 crore (or ₹2,62,33,85,540), is for the upgradation of the existing Command Control Centre to a Unified Command Control Centre. Additionally, it includes implementing the Intelligent Enforcement Management System (lEMS) for Odisha’s State Transport Authority, RailTel said in a regulatory filing dated March 6.

The second work order from the State Transport Authority, worth ₹30.26 core is for Intelligent Enforcement Management System (IEMS) work.

Both the orders are expected to be completed by August 1, 2025, it added.

Other orders

On Friday, last week, the telecom infrastructure PSU received two work orders aggregating to ₹63.55 crore.

It bagged an order worth ₹37.18 crore from the Madhya Pradesh State Electronics Development Corporation Ltd. for a system integrator for the expansion of the state data centre (SDC) and establishing a disaster recovery (DR) centre, RailTel said on February 28.

The order is expected to be completed by June 27, 2029.

Furthermore, the company secured a work order from the Cuttak Development Authority worth ₹27.38 crore.

Expected to be completed by July 11, 2025, it involves setting up 14 units of Bill Boar System including hardware, an Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) and command control support for three years in various locations across Cuttuck City.
