The Affordable and Emerging Markets segments continued to be key growth drivers, registering 27% growth and contributing 41% to the Retail loan book. Asset quality continued to be strong, with GNPA at 0.95%, while healthy recoveries from the written-off pool supported our profitability.”

He added that the company will remain focused on strengthening its distribution network and digital capabilities. Furthermore, its ongoing digital transformation initiatives across sourcing, underwriting, servicing and collections have been helping enhance customer experience, improve operational efficiency and support scalable growth.

“Backed by a strong capital position and prudent risk management practices, we remain well positioned to drive sustainable growth and create long-term value for our stakeholders,” Shukla stated.

Here’s what analysts at Morgan Stanley said

In an analyst note, Morgan Stanley stated PNB Housing Finance’s Q1 results were in line with expectations, with stronger loan growth. However, the company reported a weaker NIM.

The analysts added that excluding accounting changes, the firm could have added 2 percentage points to loan growth.

Furthermore, both its NII and NIM missed the estimates due to higher leverage and lower investment yield.

PNB Housing Finance has a total market capitalisation of ₹29,464.90 crore as of August 5, 2026, according to data on the NSE.
