Shares of PNB Housing Finance rallied nearly 3% on Tuesday, July 22, as the firm reported its June quarter earnings.

The company posted a 23% increase in its net profit to ₹534 crore for the first quarter ended June 2025.

The housing finance firm had earned a net profit of ₹433 crore in the same quarter of the previous year.

The company's total income for the quarter grew to ₹2,082 crore from ₹1,832 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year, PNB Housing Finance said in a regulatory filing.

Interest income for the quarter was higher at ₹1,980 crore compared to ₹1,739 crore a year ago.

The net interest income also saw a 17% rise to ₹760 crore at the end of Q1 2025 against ₹651 crore in the year-ago quarter.

The net interest margin increased to 3.75% compared to 3.65% in the first quarter of the previous year.

The gross Non-Performing Assets (NPAs) of the company decreased to 1.06% from 1.3% at the end of June 2024.

The company’s capital adequacy ratio stood at 29.68% as of June 30, 2025, of which Tier I capital is 28.96% and Tier II is 0.72%, compared to 29.50% as of June 30, 2024, of which Tier I capital is 28.43%, it added.

Earlier this month, the board of directors of PNB Housing Finance had recommended the issuance of non-convertible debentures (NCDs) worth ₹10,000 crore.

The NCDs, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing annual general meeting (AGM), will be issued in one or more tranches on a private placement basis.

The company’s board also fixed Friday, August 1, as the record date for the purpose of determining the members eligible to receive a dividend for the financial year 2024-25.

The company’s 37th AGM is scheduled to be held on Thursday, August 21, through a video conference or other audio-visual means, its board of directors decided at the meeting.

Share price details

Last seen, shares of PNB Housing Finance were trading at ₹1,108.40 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, gaining 2.23%. It had touched an intraday high of ₹1,116 per share on Tuesday.

Over a month’s period, the stock increased almost 4%. Since January 22, 2025, which is six months, shares of the firm have climbed 20.6%.

The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹28,713.58 crore.

Shares of the firm had touched their one-year high of ₹1,202.20 apiece on September 13, 2024, while their 52-week low of ₹741.25 was hit on July 23, 2024.
