Shares of mining consultancy firm Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited were trading in positive territory on Monday, July 20, ahead of the earnings announcement.

The stock was trading 0.13% higher at ₹255.23 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 11:06 am.

Apart from Q1 FY27 results, the company's board will also consider and declare payment of the first interim dividend for the financial year 2026-27, if any.

The stock had hit its 52-week high of ₹283.69 per share on July 3, 2026, while its year's low of ₹150.16 apiece was recorded on April 7, 2026.

The scrip has declined 2.46% in the past week, while it has gained 1.87% in a month. Year-to-date, it jumped 65.87%.

Earlier this month, CMPDI announced that it proposed a drilling target of 12 lakh metres for the financial year 2026-27, including the departmental drills of 4.30 lakh metres and the outsourcing drilling of 7.70 lakh metres.

"The departmental drilling has achieved 0.701 lakh m which is 112% of the target and outsourced drilling has achieved 1.173 lakh m which is 92% of the target, resulting in overall achievement of 99% of the target. The growth in total drilling upto May 2026 in comparison to May 2025 is 11%," the company said in an exchange filing.

"The annual target of 2D/3D seismic survey for FY 2026-27 is 475.00 line km. The achievement up to May 2026 in FY 2026-27 is 70.136 line km i.e 78% of the target," it added.

Here's how the stock is performing compared to the IPO issue price

Shares of CMPDI, which offers consultancy and support services for coal and mineral exploration and mine planning and design services, were up 48.38% from the IPO issue price of ₹172 apiece.

The stock had debuted at ₹160 apiece on the NSE on March 30, reflecting a discount of 6.98% from the issue price.

The ₹1,842 crore initial share sale was solely an offer for sale (OFS) component of 10.71 crore shares by promoter Coal India Ltd (CIL).
