Ola Electric Mobility shares are expected to be on investors' radar on Thursday, September 3, as the company on Wednesday informed stock exchanges that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Saturday, September 5, 2026, inter alia, to consider and approve the proposal for raising funds.
This could be done by way of issuance of equity shares or any other eligible securities (“Securities”) through permissible modes, including but not limited to a private placement, a qualified institutions placement, preferential issue, or any other method or combination of methods.
Ola Electric added that the board meeting will also consider, inter alia, matters relating to the annual report of the company for the financial year ended March 31, 2026, and matters relating to the ensuing annual general meeting (AGM) of the company, along with other items as may be considered by the board.
The sanction pertains to the demand incentive under the PLI-Auto Scheme for FY 2026-27, and authorises the payment to be released through IFCI Ltd, the Central Nodal Agency designated for disbursement under the scheme, Ola Electric said in a statement.
The incentive has been sanctioned in accordance with the applicable terms and conditions of the PLI-Auto Scheme, as amended from time to time, it added.
This is the second consecutive year in which Ola Electric has received an incentive under the PLI-Auto Scheme, following the sanction of ₹366.78 crore for FY 2024-25 announced in December 2025, the company said.
The S1Z brings Ola's indigenous 46 series LFP cell platform technology, developed at its Battery Innovation Centre and manufactured at the Ola Gigafactory, to its most accessible scooter range, for the country's largest EV buying segment, the company said in a statement.
The S1Z has been designed around a simple belief that customers in the value segment should never have to compromise on technology, safety or performance, it added.
With the introduction of indigenous LFP chemistry, Ola is redefining expectations of what an accessible electric scooter can offer while advancing its vision of building India's EV ecosystem from the cell upwards, the company said.
The unveiling was done on India's 80th Independence Day, Ola Electric said in a statement.
Built around indigenous LFP battery technology and the company's vertically integrated cell-to-system capabilities, Ola Shakti creates a single architecture across three markets: home energy with Shakti Gen2, commercial and infrastructure energy with Shakti Rack, and industrial and utility-scale energy with Mahashakti, it added.
"The use cases of our world-class battery and cell technology will manifest beyond electric mobility," said Bhavish Aggarwal, Chairman and Managing Director, Ola Electric.
The company announced its April to June quarter results for the financial year 2026-27 on Friday, August 7. The electric two-wheeler maker reduced its net losses to ₹336 crore in the period.
EV maker Ola Electric’s consolidated net losses narrowed to ₹336 crore in the first quarter of the financial year 2026-27, compared year-on-year (YoY) with ₹428 crore in the same period a year earlier.
On a sequential basis, the company’s net losses narrowed to its June quarter levels from ₹500 crore net loss in the fourth quarter of FY26.
