The MoU, inked at the World Expo 2025 in Osaka, Japan, to explore the possibility of entering into a definitive agreement under which NGEL will deliver green methanol and green hydrogen derivative products to ENEOS, the company said in a regulatory filing.

“This MoU is anchored around NGEL’s ambitious Green Hydrogen Hub at Pudimadaka, Andhra Pradesh, spanning 1200 acres, which is being developed as an integrated hub for green chemicals production and export,” it added.

The partnership combines ENSOS’s demand for hydrogen derivative products with NGEL’s renewable energy and green hydrogen initiatives.

It further supports NGEL’s target of achieving a 60 GW renewable energy portfolio by 2032, underscoring its commitment to India’s green energy transition and to the global movement toward net-zero emissions.

In a separate filing dated Thursday, the renewable energy company inked an MoU with the Government of Gujarat for the development of solar parks and projects with a cumulative capacity of 10 GW and wind projects of 5 GW in the state.

The MoU was signed at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Conference held at Mehsana, Gujarat, on October 9.

In September, the company said that it commenced the commercial operation of 25 MW solar capacity out of the total installed capacity of 37.5 MW (Solar) project located in Bhuj, Gujarat.

The solar capacity, belonging to Ayana Renewable Power Four Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ayana Renewable Power Pvt. Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the company’s joint venture ONGC NTPC Green Private, commenced its operations on September 27.

With it, the NGEL group’s commercial capacity stood at 7,382.475 MW, with the total installed capacity increasing to 7,407.475 MW.

Shares of NTPC Green Energy closed 1.36% higher at ₹99.51 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday. However, the MoU with ENEOS was announced after the market closed.

While the stock touched a 52-week low of ₹84.55 on March 3, 2025, it reached a year’s high of ₹155.35 per equity share on December 4, 2024.

The firm has a total market capitalisation of ₹83,850.41 crore, as of October 10, 2025, according to data on the NSE.
