Blue Star Q4 results, dividend update

Blue Star reported a 17.25% surge in its consolidated net profit at ₹227.05 crore in the March quarter of FY26, citing exceptional item gains and lower taxes.

The company had recorded a profit after tax of ₹193.64 crore in the year-ago period, Blue Star said in a regulatory filing.

In Q3, the firm had made a provision of ₹56.35 crore to implement the changes from new labour codes on an estimated basis. However, "in the current quarter, the liability was reassessed and finalised at ₹38.83 crores, and accordingly, provision of ₹17.52 crores has been reversed in Q4 FY26".

Its revenue from operations advanced 1.32% to ₹4,072.06 crore in Q4 FY26, compared to ₹4,018.96 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

The company's board also recommended a final dividend of ₹8.5 per share of ₹2 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2026. The record date is July 17.

The electro-mechanical projects and commercial air-conditioning systems segment contributed ₹1,989.92 crore to the revenue, up 1.1% year-on-year (YoY).

The revenue of unitary products, which houses its consumer-facing room AC business, was up 1.26% to ₹1,984.96 crore.

The revenue of the professional electronics and industrial systems segment fell 7.3% to ₹97.18 crores in Q4 FY26.

Chairman & Managing Director Vir S Advani said that the fiscal 2026 was a challenging year shaped by multiple external factors, but it concluded on a positive note.

"The onset of summer from mid-April 2026 has led to a steady pickup in consumer sales of room ACs, indicating improving market momentum for FY27," he said.

He said that the company remains cautiously optimistic about the outlook for FY27.
