Nestle India bonus shares: Board to meet to consider issuance of first-ever bonus shares

Nestle India on Thursday announced that its board of directors will hold a meeting to consider the issuance of bonus shares on June 26.

“This is to inform you that a meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Thursday, 26th June 2025, to inter alia consider and approve the proposal for issue of bonus shares, subject to the requisite approval,” Nestle India said in a regulatory filing dated June 19.

If passed by the board, this will be Nestle India’s first bonus share issue.

Nestle India Q4 results

The FMCG major reported a 5.2% year-on-year (YoY) fall in its standalone profit after tax (PAT) to ₹885.4 crore in the March FY25 quarter, as against ₹934.2 crore in the corresponding period last year.

Its revenue from operations stood at ₹5,504 crore in the quarter under review, jumping 4.5% YoY from ₹5,267.6 crore in the fourth quarter of FY24.

At an operational level, Nestle India’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) was at ₹1,389 crore in Q4FY25. Its margin expanded to 25.2% from 25.4% a year earlier.

Nestle India stock performance

Shares of Nestle India closed in the red at ₹2,313.30, down 1.17% on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Thursday. However, the announcement was made after the market closed.

The stock has lost 2.44% so far this week and 3.23% since the beginning of June. The scrip has gained 3.03% so far in the first quarter of FY26 and 6.86% on a year-to-date basis.

The Maggie manufacturer hit a 52-week low of ₹2,110 on March 5, 2025, and a high of ₹2,778 on September 27, 2024.

Nestle India’s total market capitalisation stood at ₹2.23 lakh crore as of June 19, 2025, according to the data on the NSE.
