Nestlé bonus issue: Nestlé (India) on Thursday, June 26, announced that its board has approved the issuance of bonus equity shares in the ratio of 1:1.

This means that the company will offer one bonus equity share of a face value of ₹1 each for every one fully paid-up equity share of a face value of ₹1 each, held by the members of the company as of the record date.

This is the first-ever bonus issue announced by the FMCG major.

Nestlé (India) bonus issue: Total no. of securities to be issued

The company said that the total number of securities proposed to be issued or the total amount for which the securities will be issued (approximately) will be 96,41,57,160 equity shares of a face value of ₹1, amounting to ₹96,41,57,160 (₹96.41 crore).

Nestlé India added that the bonus equity shares will be issued out of the retained earnings (free reserves) as per the audited financial statements of the company for the year ended March 31, 2025.

Shares of the FMCG major after the bonus announcement were trading at ₹2,431.70 apiece on the NSE, up over 1%.

Nestlé India bonus issue: Estimated date for credit

The company said within two months from the date of approval by the Board of Directors, i.e., on or before 25th August 2025, bonus shares would be credited/ dispatched.

The record date for determining the entitlement of the members of the company to receive bonus equity shares will be announced in due course.

Nestlé India Q4 FY25 Results

Nestlé India on Thursday reported a 5.2% decline in its standalone profit after tax at ₹885.4 crore for the January to March quarter as compared to ₹934.2 crore in Q4 FY24.

Its revenue from operations increased marginally by 4.5% to ₹5,504 crore as against ₹5,267.6 crore reported in the same quarter last fiscal.

Its earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) for the quarter under review stood at ₹1,389 crore.

Margin stood at 25.2% as against 25.4% year on year. READ MORE
