Muthoot Finance's board approves largest-ever dividend of ₹30 per share; check record date

Muthoot Finance dividend: Muthoot Finance on Friday, April 10, said its board of directors approved the payment of an interim dividend of ₹30 per equity share– its largest ever.

The NBFC’s board of directors, at its meeting held today, considered and approved an interim dividend of ₹30 per equity share at a rate of 300% for the 2025-26 financial year (FY26), according to an exchange filing.

What is the record date?

In a separate regulatory filing earlier this week, the company had fixed Friday, April 17, 2026, as the record date for the aforementioned interim dividend.

Thus, shareholders whose names appear, as on the close of business hours of April 17, 2026:

  • as beneficial owners as per the list to be furnished by the depositories in respect of the shares held in electronic form and

  • as members in the Register of Members of the Company in respect of shares held in physical form, would be entitled to receive the interim dividend.

The gold finance company had previously set Monday, April 13, as the record date, but later revised it to April 17.

When will the payment be made

Furthermore, it added that the interim dividend will be paid to eligible shareholders within 30 days from the date of declaration.

Muthoot Finance Q3 snapshot

The firm posted a 94.9% YoY surge in its net profit to ₹2,656 crore in the third quarter of FY26, compared to ₹1,363 crore it logged in the year-ago period.

Its net interest income (NII) stood at ₹4,467 crore for the reporting quarter, marking a 64% YoY jump from ₹2,721 crore in the December quarter of FY25.

Stock performance

Shares of Muthoot Finance closed 2.84% higher at ₹3,573.90 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Friday, ahead of the dividend announcement. Intra-day, the scrip advanced as much as 3.01% to a high of ₹3,579.90 per equity share.

The stock has surged 12% in the past week and 9% over the month. However, on a year-to-date basis, it has fallen 7%.

While the share hit a 52-week high of ₹4,149.50 on January 29, 2026, it touched a year's low of ₹1,965 apiece on April 11, 2025.
