M&M dividend issue: Mahindra & Mahindra’s board of directors on Tuesday, May 5, announced a final dividend issue of ₹33 per share for shareholders with a face value of ₹5 apiece, subject to the necessary approval in the upcoming annual general meeting (AGM), according to an exchange filing.

“Recommendation of a final dividend of ₹33 (660%) per ordinary (equity) shares of the face value of ₹5 each for the financial year ended March 31, 2026,” the company informed the stock exchange.

M&M’s dividend announcement means that every eligible shareholder will receive a final dividend payment of ₹33 per share for every share an investor owns in the company’s stock, up to 24 hours ahead of the pre-set record date of the corporate action.

The automaker fixed the record date for the dividend issue on Friday, July 3, 2026, according to the NSE filing.

M&M Q4 results snapshot

Mahindra & Mahindra recorded a 48% rise in its consolidated net profit after tax (PAT) to ₹5,259 crore in the March quarter, compared to ₹3,541 crore in the same period a year ago, according to the NSE filing.

The overall revenue from core operations of M&M witnessed a 29% rise to ₹54,891 crore in the fourth quarter of the financial year ended 2025-26, compared with ₹42,585 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Mahindra & Mahindra’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) margin improved to 13.81% in the fourth quarter of FY26, compared with 12.64% in the same period a year ago.

The consolidated statements showed that the earnings per share (EPS) rose to ₹41.77 apiece in the period, compared to ₹29.52 per share in the same period a year ago, as per the NSE data.

Segmental snapshot

In Mahindra’s automotive business, the company recorded a 32% year-on-year rise to ₹34,294 crore in the fourth quarter, compared to ₹25,902 crore in the same period a year earlier.

With its March quarter sales volumes at 307,000 units, Mahindra & Mahindra’s Q4 SUV revenue market share rose to 24.5%, up 60 basis points, from a year ago levels, according to the official data.

In the farm equipment segment of Mahindra, the company recorded a 26% rise in revenues to ₹10,022 crore in the fourth quarter, compared to ₹7,933 crore in the same period a year ago.

Shares of M&M were trading 1.96% higher at ₹3,167.40 on Tuesday, compared to ₹3,106.50 at the previous market close, according to NSE data.
