Share price: Lenskart Solutions shares surge as much as 3.4% to hit a 52-week high of ₹628.80 apiece on Tuesday, August 18, after the eyewear firm incorporated a step-down subsidiary.

In a regulatory filing, Lenskart said its step-down subsidiary, Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co., Ltd, was incorporated on August 14, 2026, and the company received its Certificate of Incorporation on August 17, 2026.

“The entity will undertake the business of trading, import, export and procurement of spectacle frames and allied optical products, as well as related materials, equipment and technology, as may be required for the business of BFT and its subsidiaries from time to time,” the company said.

Upon incorporation, Baofeng Framekart Technology (BFT) will hold a 95% equity interest in Wenzhou Framekart Trade Co., Ltd. BFT will subscribe to the equity interest for RMB 1 million.

As the entity is incorporated as a Chinese limited liability company, its ownership is represented through equity interests rather than a specific number of shares.

The step-down subsidiary will undertake the business of trading, importing, exporting and procuring spectacle frames and allied optical products, as well as related materials, equipment and technology, as may be required for the business of BFT and its subsidiaries from time to time, Lenskart explained.

Lenskart Solutions Q1 FY27 earnings

Lenskart Solutions had reported broad-based earnings for the April-June quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27), posting a 269% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit to ₹222 crore. In the corresponding period of the preceding fiscal year, the company had logged a profit of ₹60 crore.

The technology eyewear firm’s revenue from core operations advanced 43% YoY to ₹2,714 crore in the period under review, compared with ₹1,894 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, stood at ₹589 crore in the June FY27 quarter, marking a 61.37% YoY increase from ₹365 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal year.

Its EBITDA margin expanded by 370 basis points (bps) YoY to 21.7% for the reporting quarter, as against 18%, with India at 21.4% and international at 21.9%.

Lenskart Solutions share price trends

At 11:28 AM, Lenskart Solutions shares were trading at ₹626.1 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, gaining 3.04%.

From the beginning of the year, Lenskart Solutions shares have jumped 43%. Over a month’s time, the stock has advanced 16%, while it has climbed 29% in the past six months.

According to NSE data, as of August 18, 2026, Lenskart Solutions has a total market capitalisation of ₹1.09 lakh crore.
