Lemon Tree Hotel signs agreement for 175-room property in Surat, shares rise up to 2%
In a filing to the stock exchanges on Friday, the company said that under its upscale brand, Aurika Hotels & Resorts, it has signed a licencing agreement for a 175-room property in Surat.
The property is expected to open in the fiscal year 2030 and will be managed by Carnation Hotels Private Limited, a subsidiary and the management division of Lemon Tree Hotels Ltd.
Lemon Tree Hotels said that Aurika, Surat, will offer 175 elegantly designed rooms and suites, complemented by Mirasa, an all-day dining restaurant. The property will also feature banquet facilities, including Ekaara, the ballroom, Aurum, and the boardroom, along with a beautiful swimming pool and a revitalising spa.
Commenting on this announcement Vilas Pawar, CEO of Lemon Tree Hotels Limited said, “We are thrilled to announce the signing of Aurika, Surat, marking our second Aurika property in Gujarat. This addition will further strengthen our presence in the state, where we currently operate seven hotels and have nine more in the pipeline.

The hotel in Shivpuri will include 50 well-appointed rooms, a restaurant, a bar, a swimming pool and other public areas. It is located approximately 134 kilometres from Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport in Gwalior and around 1 km from Shivpuri Railway Station. This project is expected to be operational in FY26.
Lemon Tree Hotels stock opened 1.22% higher at ₹133.41 from its previous closing at ₹131.8 apiece on the NSE. However, shares of the company trimmed early gains to trade 0.51% higher at ₹132.47 apiece on the NSE at 12:30 pm.
