Kalpataru Projects International wins new orders worth ₹2,025 crore; shares trade in green

SUMMARY

Earlier in August, the company won another order worth ₹3,426 crore for the construction of an industrial plant and a residential building, and for the power transmission & distribution segment. Post the current order win, the total order inflow for FY27 (YTD) stands at ₹13,219 crore, and more than ₹12,000 crore worth of L1 orders are in the pipeline.

Shares of Kalpataru Projects International opened in green despite broader weakness in the markets on Thursday. The optimism was largely driven by a major order win announcement by the company earlier today. Kalpataru Projects International's share price opened 0.3% higher on Thursday at ₹1,416 apiece on the NSE.

The exchange filing read, “Kalpataru Projects International Limited (KPIL), a leading engineering and construction company in the power and infrastructure sector, has secured new orders and notifications of awards across Indian and international markets totalling approx. ₹2,025 crore.”The orders were classified into three different segments, including Power Transmission & Distribution, Building & Factories, and Oil & Gas.

Earlier in August, the company won another order worth ₹3,426 crore for construction of an industrial plant and residential building, and for the power transmission & distribution segment.

Commenting on the order win, Manish Mohnot, MD & CEO, KPIL, said, "We are pleased with these new order wins in our T&D, B&F, and Oil & Gas businesses. These diverse contract wins reflect our strong technical expertise, operational excellence, and the trust our clients place in our ability to deliver projects on time”.

After the current order win, the total order inflow for FY27 (YTD) stands at ₹13,219 crore, and more than ₹12,000 crore worth of L1 orders are in the pipeline. The total order book now stands at nearly ₹79,000 crore.

In Q1FY27, the company’s revenue surged 9% YoY to ₹5,482 crore at the standalone level and rose 4% YoY to ₹6,408 crore. The consolidated EBITDA for the quarter surged 7% YoY to ₹562 crore, with a 30 bps EBITDA margin expansion to 8.8%. Lastly, the consolidated net profit for the quarter surged 46% YoY to ₹312 crore.
