The power generation company posted a 54% year-on-year (YoY) growth in its consolidated net profit to ₹34 crore for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2026-27 (Q1 FY27) as against ₹22 crore reported in the year-ago period.
Its revenue from operations stood at ₹291 crore, increasing 81% for the quarter under review as compared to ₹161 crore in Q1 FY26.
The company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA) jumped 89% YoY to ₹262 crore in Q1 FY27 from ₹138 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Its operating margin also expanded to 89.8% year-on-year (YoY) in contrast to 85.9% in Q1 FY26.
As of June 30, 2026, Juniper Green Energy’s total capex incurred stood at ₹16,303 crore, which also included a capex addition of ₹1,183 crore during Q1 FY27. By the end of the quarter, the company had net debt of ₹11,217 crore outstanding, while net debt for the operational portfolio stood at ₹7,183 crore.
During the current fiscal year, the firm refinanced more than ₹1,700 crore across three projects at a weighted average interest rate of less than 8% per annum. However, the weighted average cost of debt for the operational portfolio stood at 8.58% per annum.
At the end of Q1 FY27, Juniper Green Energy’s net worth stood at ₹3,463 crore and net debt-to-equity ratio was 3.24x.
Juniper, in the reporting quarter, the company commissioned 601 MWp—the highest ever RE capacity commissioned by the company in a single quarter. Its operational capacity reached 2,409 MWp by the end of the quarter.
Juniper Green Energy, through its subsidiary Juniper Nirjara Energy, has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with SJVN for a 50 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project.
The power purchase agreement (PPA) was signed at a tariff of ₹4.25 per unit for a tenure of 25 years.
Under the PPA, the company must achieve four hours of peak-hour supply with 90% availability on a monthly basis, along with a minimum annual capacity utilisation factor (CUF), as per the bid requirement.
At 11:25 AM, Juniper Green Energy shares were trading at ₹258.5 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, falling 3.34%. The stock had touched an intraday low of ₹254.2 apiece.
