The initial public offering of Lumino Industries Ltd has been subscribed 30% so far on the first day of bidding on Thursday, August 27. The issue will end on August 31. The price band has been fixed at ₹78 to ₹82 per share.

It secured bids for 1,87,07,052 shares compared to 6,32,05,127 shares on offer, according to the NSE data until 11:01 am.

The category for retail investors was subscribed 43% and that of non-institutional investors received 39% subscription. The portion meant for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) is yet to see any bidding.

The ₹700 crore IPO consists of a fresh issue of shares worth up to ₹500 crore and an offer-for-sale (OFS) component of up to ₹200 crore by promoters Jay Goel and Devendra Goel.

Of the fresh issue proceeds, ₹337 crore will be used for debt clearance and ₹15.01 crore for capital expenditure, including the purchase of machinery and equipment, civil works and interior development of an existing manufacturing plant. The remaining funds will be utilised for general corporate purposes.

Before the IPO, the company mobilised ₹207 crore from anchor investors, including SBI General Insurance Company, Bajaj Life Insurance, Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius, 3PIM India Equity (IFSC) Fund and Silver Stride India Global Fund.

Lumino Industries Ltd is a product-driven integrated engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) player in India, with a key focus on manufacturing and supplying power cables, conductors and electrical wires to the growing power transmission and distribution industry. It also makes high-temperature low-sag conductors utilised in distribution and transmission lines in India.

It supplies conductors, power cables and other specialised products to large EPC players like Kalpataru Projects International, Jackson, Warora Kurnool Transmission, KGN Electricals, WRSS XXI(A) Transco, RS Infraprojects and Monte Carlo.
