IRFC announces second interim dividend for FY25; check record date

State-run Navaratna Indian Railway Finance Corp (IRFC) has announced an interim dividend of ₹0.80 per share. This is the second interim dividend announced by the company for the financial year 2024-25.

The interim dividend announcement came just before the market closing. Hence, IRFC shares closed 0.86% higher at ₹118.70 per share, before hitting an intraday high of 119.72 per share.

In an exchange filing, IRFC said its board of directors has declared a second interim dividend of ₹0.80 per share of face value ₹10 each fully paid up for FY25. The dividend will be paid within prescribed timelines from the date of declaration.

The record date for determining the eligibility of shareholders for payment of the second interim dividend is Friday, March 21, 2025.

IRFC is a government-owned Navaratna public enterprise engaged in raising funds and financial resources to meet the developmental needs of the Indian Railways. The company was established in December 1986 and the government of Indian holds 86.36% holding in the company.

The company reported a 2% YoY increase in its consolidated Profit after tax (PAT) to ₹1,631 crores in the third quarter of the current fiscal year. The net profit was ₹1,599 crore in the year-ago quarter.

Consolidated revenue from operations remained flat at ₹6,763 crore, up 0.3% YoY, as against ₹6,737 crore in the same period of the previous financial year.
