The state-owned entity on Monday, November 4, reported a 4.47% increase in its consolidated net profit at ₹307.86 crore against ₹294.67 crore logged in the year-ago period.

IRCTC's basic earnings per share stood at ₹3.85 against ₹3.68 in the September 2023 quarter.
The company, as per news reports, reported an EBITDA of ₹373 crore for the quarter under review, up marginally from ₹367 crore logged in the last-year period. Meanwhile, margins declined marginally to 35.05%.
Last week, the IRCTC app and website suffered an outage on Saturday morning.
Over 200 people across India registered reports regarding the outage on Downdetector, an outage detection website.
While some users reported issues related to payments and technical difficulties preventing them from completing transactions, others said they were not able to receive or view tickets on the screen.
Around 66% of people reported problems with the website, 21% complained about the app, and 13% faced ticketing issues.
In another development, Indian Railways is set to launch an all-in-one 'super app' for various passenger services in one place. This new application will allow users to enjoy several services, such as booking tickets, purchasing platform passes, and monitoring train schedules.
The Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS) is working on a new application together with the existing platform of the IRCTC's existing systems, according to news reports.
