India’s Top 100 property developers see a 70% rise in value; DLF tops the list

India’s Top 100 property developers have seen their cumulative value surge by 70% according to the GROHE-Harun Real Estate 100. 86% of Indian realty companies in the list saw an increase in their value resulting in a total addition of ₹6.2 lakh crore.

India’s Top 100 property developers have seen their cumulative value surge by 70% according to the GROHE-Harun Real Estate 100. 86% of Indian realty companies in the list saw an increase in their value resulting in a total addition of ₹6.2 lakh crore.

DLF is the most valuable property developer with a value of ₹2 lakh crore. Macrotech Developers stood at second place with a value of ₹1.4 lakh crore while Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) came in at third with a value of ₹79,150 crore.

Godrej Properties and Oberoi Realty occupied the 4th and 5th places with a value of ₹77,280 crore and ₹66,200 crore. Among the Top 10 real estate companies, Prestige Estates Projects saw the most significant growth as its value surged 230% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹63,980 crore.

IHCL, more popularly known as the Taj Group of Hotels, was the most valuable hospitality company according to the list. Taj GVK occupies the 74th position on the GROHE-Harun Real Estate 100 with a valuation of ₹2,050 crore.

Meanwhile, Adani Realty grew 62% YoY to a cumulative valuation of ₹56,500 crore to secure the 7th place on the list and is the most valuable unlisted company on the list.

DLF saw the highest value addition of ₹ 85,000 crore while Unitech saw the highest growth in percentage terms as its value soared 622% YoY to ₹2,590 crore. Sobha is the leading employer with 26,275 employees in its workforce.

The GROHE-Harun Real Estate 100 has only two women-led companies; Pavitra Shankar-led Brigade Group and G Indira Krishna Reddy-led Taj GVK.

Among the companies on the list, Mumbai-based companies were the highest at 33 companies, Bengaluru had 15 companies, Delhi with 14 companies, and Gurugram with 10 companies.

The Nifty Realty index has risen by nearly 40% since the start of the year and has gained over 108% in the past year.
