HUDCO shares rise over 5% after company posts Q2 business update; check details

Shares of PSU firm, Housing and Urban Development Corp Ltd (HUDCO) gained as much as 5.1% to touch an intraday high of ₹235.24 apiece on Wednesday, October 1.

HUDCO shares were trading 3.89% higher at ₹232.32 per equity share at 11:10 AM on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The surge in the share price came after strong buying on the counter post the company released its September quarter (Q2FY26) business update on September 30, 2025.

HUDCO reported loan sanctions of ₹92,709.60 crore (provisional, subject to audit) for the half-year ended September 30, 2025, against total loan sanctions of ₹1,27,952 crore planned for the financial year 2024-25.

The company also recorded loan disbursements of ₹25,838.45 crore (provisional, subject to audit) for the half-year, with Q2 disbursements at ₹13,026.19 crore, marking a 43.55% rise over ₹9,074.26 crore in the same quarter last year.

Over the last five trading sessions, HUDCO shares declined 0.82%. On the other hand, the stock rose 9.92% in the last month. Further, the scrip zoomed 12.55% over the past six months. The stock dropped 2.30% on a year-to-date basis.

The stock touched its 52-week high of ₹262.70 on December 17, 2024 and its 52-week low of ₹158.85 on March 3, 2025. The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹46,540.17 crore as recorded on October 1.

HUDCO Q1 results

In Q1 FY26, HUDCO posted a 13% year-on-year growth in net profit at ₹630.23 crore and a 34% increase in total revenue at ₹2,937.31 crore.

HUDCO also announced a first interim dividend of ₹1.15 per share for FY26 and reported healthy asset quality with a Gross Non-Performing Asset (GNPA) ratio of 1.34%.

On a comparative basis, net profit rose 13% from ₹557.75 crore in Q1 FY25 to ₹630.23 crore in Q1 FY26. Total revenue increased 34% year-on-year, moving from ₹2,197.19 crore to ₹2,945.47 crore. Net Interest Income (NII) also recorded strong growth of 33.4%, rising from ₹711 crore to ₹948 crore during the same period.
