Stock Market today: The equity benchmark indices went into consolidation mode in the afternoon trade after opening with decent gains on Tuesday, November 26. 

At 1:03 pm, the S&P BSE SENSEX was trading 192 points, or 0.24%, lower at 79,918.31 levels. The broader NIFTY50 index was trading at 24,164.50, down 57 points, or 0.24%.

Telecom stocks: Telecom stocks witnessed a stellar rally amid news reports that the Union Cabinet has approved the waiving of bank guarantees for telecom operators on spectrum purchased before 2022.
The move has come as a relief to Vodafone Idea (Vi), which owes the government over ₹24,700 crore on bank guarantees (BG).

Among individual names, shares of Vi jumped as much as 18.79% to ₹8.28 apiece on the NSE. Tata Teleservices Maharashtra (TTML) was trading nearly 12% higher at ₹77.18 apiece on the BSE. Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) stock was trading around 5% higher at ₹49.60.

ACME Solar Holdings: Shares of ACME Solar Holdings, the recently listed renewable energy company, declined as much as 7.47% to hit a low of ₹239 apiece on the BSE on Tuesday, November 26, a day after the company released its September quarter (Q2 FY25) results. 

The company on Monday reported over a 60% fall in consolidated net profit at ₹15.29 crore for the quarter under review, mainly due to lower revenues.

Sagility India: Shares of Sagility India, a leading provider of tech-enabled solutions and services to clients in the US healthcare industry, zoomed 10% to ₹31.54 apiece on the NSE on Tuesday after the company announced its second-quarter results for the current fiscal year.

Sagility India's consolidated net profit rose 235.6% to ₹117.34 crore in the three months ended September 2024. In the year-ago period, post-tax profit was ₹34.96 crore.

The stocks rallied as state-owned engineering firm Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd. (BHEL) on Monday said it has, along with Hitachi Energy India, secured an order for the Khavda Nagpur HVDC (high voltage direct current transmission) project from Power Grid Corporation.

The order was awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India on behalf of its Project SPV (special purpose vehicle) company.

According to the filing, the order is to design and execute the 800 kV, 6,000 MW, 1,200 km High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) terminal stations to evacuate renewable energy from Khavda in Gujarat to Nagpur in Maharashtra.

The order will be executed by 2029.

Adani Energy Solutions, Adani Ports: Ratings agency Fitch has put some of Adani Group's bonds on watch for a possible downgrade after some of the firm's key executives were indicted by US authorities on bribery charges. Adani Energy Solutions Ltd, Adani Electricity Mumbai, and some of Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ) rupee and dollar bonds are now on "watch negative," the rating agency said.
Last seen, Adani Energy shares were trading nearly 4% lower at ₹601.60 apiece on the BSE, while Adani Ports was down 3% at ₹1,131.20 on the BSE. 
Triveni Turbine: Shares of the company were trading nearly 14% higher at ₹869.85 apiece on the BSE. For the quarter ended September 2024, the company reported a 42% on-year rise in consolidated profit after tax to ₹91 crore, pushed by higher income. It posted a profit after tax (PAT) of ₹64 crore in the July-September quarter of the preceding 2023-24 financial year, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers (GRSE): The stock was trading around 7.5% higher at ₹1,549.50 on the BSE. The defence PSU registered a total income of ₹2,311 crore in the first half of the financial year 2024-25. For the second quarter of 2024-25, from July to September, GRSE registered a total income of ₹1,228 crore against ₹969 crore, he said.

In the second quarter, PAT stood at ₹98 crore as against ₹81 crore logged in the corresponding period of 2023-24, the official said.
