Hero MotoCorp share price: Shares of two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp declined on Thursday after the company announced a temporary production pause at four of its manufacturing facilities from April 17 to April 19 due to a short-term supply alignment.

The affected plants are in Gurugram, Dharuhera, Haridwar, and Neemrana. During the planned pause, the company will carry out maintenance, upkeep, and facility enhancement to strengthen its operations.

The production will be back on track on April 21.

The stock plunged 2.67% to ₹3,680.9 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) at 9:20 am.

"Our Tirupati and Halol plants will continue to operate during this time. This pause will not impact our ability to meet retail demand across domestic and international markets. Any production deferment will be efficiently recovered in the following month," Hero MotoCorp said in an exchange filing.

In the financial year 2024-25, Hero MotoCorp sold over 54 lakh motorcycles and scooters, maintaining its leadership in the two-wheeler segment. The second spot was taken by Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India with sales of nearly 48 lakh units.

In March 2025, Hero MotoCorp sold 5.49 lakh units, reflecting a 12% growth year-on-year (YoY).

"Expanding its position in the electric vehicle (EV) category, the company achieved its highest ever EV sales, growing around 200% over FY’24. Bolstering its presence in the international markets, the company continued its strong performance in global business with over 40% growth over the previous year," it said.

The company sold over 11,000 units of the Harley Davidson X440 during the fiscal year 2025, maintaining its position in the premium motorcycle segment.

Hero MotoCorp also continued its strong run in global markets, touching 287,429 units in FY25, a 43% jump from 2 lakh units sold in the previous fiscal year.
