Heidelberg Cement Q2 net profit jumps 122% YoY, declared ₹7 per share dividend

Shares of Heidelberg Cement jumped 2.7% higher at ₹199 apiece on the NSE after the company’s net profit more than doubled for the quarter. The shares have delivered flat performance in 2025 on a YTD basis.

On the revenue front, the company’s topline grew by 11% YoY to ₹511.7 crore as against ₹461 crore in the same period last year. The topline growth was primarily attributed to a 9.2% YoY jump in sales volume for the quarter at 1075 KT vs 984 KT in the previous year’s same quarter.

Owing to strong sales growth, the EBITDA for the quarter jumped 53% YoY to ₹575 crore, as against ₹375 crore and a margin expansion of 313 bps to 11.2% for the Q2FY26. The margin expansion was led by a drawdown in total operating costs by 2% compared to the same period last year. In addition, EBITDA per tonne also improved 40% YoY

Consequently, the net profit for the quarter jumped 122% YoY to ₹249 crore, as against ₹112 crore. In addition to quarterly results, the company announced a ₹7 per share dividend.

The company also announced that, following the government’s GST rationalisation reform, the GST rates for cement have moved down from 28% to 18%, and the company has passed on the benefits to the customers.

Heidelberg Cement India Limited is a subsidiary of Heidelberg Cement Group, Germany which is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of Cement at its three locations viz. Ammasandra (Karnataka), Damoh (Madhya Pradesh) and Jhansi (Uttar Pradesh).
