HDB Financial Q2 results, interim dividend to be considered next week; all you need to know

HDB Financial Services on Wednesday said that its board of directors will meet on October 15 to inter alia consider and approve unaudited standalone financial results of the company for the quarter and half-year ended September 30, 2025.

At the meeting, the NBFC’s board of directors will also consider the proposal for declaration of an interim dividend on its equity shares for the financial year 2025-26 (FY26), HDB Financial Services said in a regulatory filing dated October 8.

If declared, this will be the company’s first dividend since it listed on the bourses on July 2, 2025.

In an earlier filing, the firm had intimated the stock exchanges that the window for trading in securities of HDB Financial Services will be closed until Friday, October 17, for the designated employees and their immediate relatives.

Shares of HDB Financial Services closed 0.59% lower at ₹737 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday.

The scrip has declined 3.02% over the previous five days and 3.82% over the month.

While the stock reached a 52-week low of ₹732.70 on August 7, 2025, it touched a year’s high of ₹891.90 per equity share on July 3, 2025.

The share debuted in July at a premium of 12.84% at ₹835 per share over the issue price of ₹740 apiece on the NSE and the BSE. The ₹12,500 crore initial public offer secured bids for 2,17,67,66,380 equity shares, compared to 13,04,42,855 shares reserved, leading to a 16.69 times subscription.

HDB Financial Services Q1 results

The company’s net interest income (NII) surged 18% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹2,092 crore in the June quarter of FY26, as against ₹1,768 crore in the same period last year, driven largely by a 17.3% YoY jump in the interest income, which stood at ₹3,831 crore, compared to ₹3,264 crore in the Q1FY25.

The net interest margin for the company remained stable at 7.6% during the quarter under review, as against 7.7% in the June quarter of FY25.

The net profit for the quarter dropped by 2.4% YoY to ₹567 crore as against ₹581 crore in the previous year’s similar quarter. This was primarily due to higher coverage for the stage 3 loans at 56.7% vs the previous quarter at 55.9%.
