At close, HCL Tech shares settled at ₹1,662 apiece on NSE, gaining 4.19%.
In a month, shares of the firm have gained over 11%, while they have slumped 13% since the beginning of 2025. The company has a market capitalisation of ₹4.5 lakh crore.
Shares of the company had touched their one-year high of ₹2,012.2 apiece on January 13, 2025, while their 52-week low of ₹1,302.7 was hit on April 7, 2025.
The rally came as the Noida-headquartered firm expanded its global presence by opening an office in Calgary, Alberta, following the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Invest Alberta to advance technology collaboration and innovation in the province.
The expansion reinforces the company’s commitment to growth in Alberta and across Canada, HCLTech said. The new space will allow the company to work more closely with clients and ecosystem partners to drive innovation, inspire creativity, and deliver transformative technology solutions across industries.
HCLTech currently operates delivery and innovation centres in Mississauga, Moncton, and Vancouver, supporting more than 50 major Canadian enterprises.
“As we deepen our collaboration with Invest Alberta and accelerate our focus on AI, cybersecurity and data, we see tremendous opportunity to co-innovate with the region’s growing technology community,” said Dave Chopra, Executive Vice President and Canada Country Head, HCLTech.
HCLTech is inaugurating its new office today during its Annual Year-End Reception in Calgary. The facility reflects the company’s long-term vision to create local jobs, support Alberta’s economy, and strengthen Canada’s broader technology ecosystem.
“The company has also formed a strategic partnership with Invest Alberta to deepen its presence in the province and collaborate with local enterprises, educational institutions and government stakeholders,” HCLTech said in a statement.
In a separate filing, the Indian IT firm also said it will provide sports equipment to 14 elite para-athletes and award scholarships to six budding athletes.
On Tuesday, HCLTech, in collaboration with NVIDIA, launched an innovation lab in Santa Clara, California, to help enterprises explore, develop, and scale industry applications of physical AI and cognitive robotics.
Connected to HCLTech’s global AI Lab network, the new facility will bring together NVIDIA’s technology stack—including Omniverse, Metropolis, Isaac Sim, Jetson and Holoscan—with HCLTech’s physical AI solutions such as VisionX, Kinetic AI, IEdgeX and SmartTwin. This collaboration will help global enterprises experiment with, develop, and scale physical AI initiatives to boost competitiveness.
HCLTech’s physical AI solutions integrate robotics, autonomous systems, and intelligent edge technologies with AI, simulation, and digital twins, enabling enterprises to enhance productivity, resilience, and sustainability in real-world environments.
