HCLTech share price: Shares of information technology (IT) services major HCL Technologies are expected to be on investors' radar on Wednesday, October 7, as HCL Group announced the expansion of HCL IT City in Lucknow with a planned outlay of ₹500 crore.

According to a regulatory filing dated October 6, the proposed expansion will create fresh capacity of up to 9.5 lakh sqft that will be able to house 4,500 technology professionals.

The company, marking the 10th anniversary of its operations on October 6, also launched the HCL-GUVI Emerging Technology Centre at HCL IT City to equip students and professionals in the region with skills in artificial intelligence (AI), data analytics and emerging technologies.

HCLTech further added that 1,000 students across Uttar Pradesh will be trained in AI and allied technologies through its LITMUS program during FY27.

Since starting operations in 2016, HCL IT City has become one of HCLTech's key global delivery centers, employing more than 12,500 people and serving over 150 global enterprises.

HCLTech Q2 result schedule

The IT firm is set to report its earnings for the July-September quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q2 FY27) on Monday, October 12.

Its board of directors, at its meeting scheduled for October 12, will also consider the payment for the company’s third interim dividend for FY27.

HCLTech, in a regulatory filing dated September 29, said that its software business division HCLSoftware will acquire Croatia-based enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) platform provider Robotiq.ai for an enterprise value of 9 million euro.

The acquisition, to be made through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech, will involve 100% of the outstanding equity of Robotiq.ai and will be entirely in cash.

The transaction is expected to be completed by the end of November 2026, the filing read.

Robotiq.ai, incorporated in Croatia in August 2018, provides enterprise-grade RPA capabilities to automate repetitive and manual processes across business applications. Its platform is used mainly by large banks, insurance groups and telecom providers.

HCLTech stock performance

Shares of HCLTech closed 0.21% higher at ₹1,204.40 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Tuesday, October 6. However, the development was announced after the market closed.

The scrip has lost more than 1% in the past week and 7% over the month. On a year-to-date (YTD) basis, it has fallen 26%.

While the stock hit a 52-week high of ₹1,780.10 per equity share on February 3, 2026, it touched a year’s low of ₹1,030 apiece on July 1, 2026.
