GM Breweries Q2 results: Net profit rises 61% YoY; revenue grows to ₹718 crore

GM Breweries reported a growth of 61% in its net profit at ₹35 crore on Thursday, October 9, for the quarter ended September 30 as compared to ₹21.67 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.

Its total revenue from operations increased 20.4% to ₹718 crore for the quarter under review as against ₹596 crore in the year-ago period.

On the operational level, the company’s earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortisation (EBITDA), also known as operating profit, gained 63% to ₹45 crore in Q2 FY26 as compared to ₹28 crore in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.

In Q2 FY26, the alcohol beverage maker's EBITDA margin expanded to 6.25% in contrast to 4.62% on a year-on-year (YoY) basis.

For the six months ended September 30, the Maharashtra-based firm reported total revenue from operations of ₹1,356 crore, marking a 13% year-on-year growth. Net profit for H1 FY26 rose 30% to ₹61 crore, up from ₹47 crore in H1 FY25.

Following the earnings, shares of GM Breweries zoomed 16.3% to touch its 52-week high of ₹888.70 apiece on the National Stock Exchange. At 12:50 PM, the stock was trading at ₹864.80 apiece, soaring 13.18%.

From the beginning of 2025, shares of the company have gained 6%. Its market capitalisation stands at ₹2,006.19 crore.

GMBL is a manufacturer and markets alcoholic beverages such as country liquor (CL) and Indian-made foreign liquor (IMFL). Its popular brands include G.M. Santra, G.M. Doctor, and G.M. Limbu Punch.

The Maharashtra-based company has an automatic bottling plant in Thane district with a capacity to produce about 50,000 cases a day. Initially, it had started producing 200 cases a day, which has now reached more than 50,000 cases a day.
