GK Energy shares rise on bagging ₹367 crore solar pump contract from MSEDCL

GK Energy share price: Shares of GK Energy rose on Thursday, December 11, as it bagged an order worth ₹366.63 crore (including GST) from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited.

The stock was trading 2.36% higher at ₹147.79 per equity share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), at around 2:54 pm. Intra-day, the share surged as much as % to an intra-day high of ₹151.59 apiece.

While it touched a 52-week high of ₹239.60 on October 23, 2025, it reached a year’s low of ₹129 per equity share on December 9, 2025.

In a regulatory filing, the company stated that it received a letter of empanelment for 13,239 off-grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS) pumps of 3 HP, 5 HP and 7.5 HP under Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump Yojana /PM Kusum B Scheme.

The firm will design, manufacture, supply, transport, install, test and commission off-grid DC SPWPS for the entire state of Maharashtra.

The installation of the pumps will be completed within 60 days from the date of issuance of the notice to proceed (NTP) or work order from the circle office, it added.

Other developments

In a regulatory filing dated December 8, GK Energy said that it has installed 7,620 off-grid solar pumps in Maharashtra, accounting for approximately 17% of the total 45,911 solar pumps installed under the Guinness World Record achieved by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL).

These installations were completed within an intensive 30-day execution window from October 27, 2025, to November 25, 2025, underscoring GK Energy’s scale, execution capability, and operational excellence, it added.

GK Energy acted as the strategic advisor to MSEDCL, playing a critical role in enabling and coordinating the end-to-end execution of this record-breaking initiative for MSEDCL. The role of GK Energy in the project encompassed concept development, strategy development, planning, coordination, documentation, framework design and stakeholder management to ensure successful accomplishment, the Pune-based company stated.

GK Energy has a total market capitalisation of ₹2,997.23 crore, as of December 11, 2025, according to data on the NSE.
