GE Vernova T&D India share price jumps 5% on strong Q2 results

Shares of GE Vernova T&D jumped nearly 5% after the company announced its Q2FY26 results and additional capacity addition development. The shares closed 4.9% higher at ₹3,187 apiece on the NSE.

The company’s Q2FY26 revenue jumped 39% YoY to ₹1538 crore as against ₹1,100 crore in the Q2FY25. While the EBITDA for the quarter jumped 25,8% YoY to ₹396 crore as against ₹204 crore in the previous year’s same quarter.

Consequently, net profit for the quarter jumped 19.5% YoY to ₹299 crore as against ₹144 crore in the same period last year. The company’s overall order bookings fell 55% YoY to ₹1600 crore, as against ₹4680 crore.

The Company announced plans to invest ₹806 crore towards expanding existing capacities for Transformers & Reactors at Vadodara facility and GIS & AIS products at Padappai and Hosur sites. The investment includes the establishment of new manufacturing lines for Air Core Reactors and Bushings at the existing facility in Hosur. This investment of ₹806 crore is in addition to the ₹140 crore announced earlier in May this year.

Sandeep Zanzaria, Managing Director & CEO of GE Vernova T&D India Limited, said, “Our results were fueled by the accelerating pace of India's grid modernisation, which is essential for bolstering reliability, integrating vast renewable capacity, and meeting the nation's rising power requirements.

He further added, “Our investment plans to improve capacity will ensure our manufacturing facilities are ready to support India’s energy transition and grid modernisation, while positioning the company for long-term stability and success
