Embassy Developments shares rally 8% as board gave nod for ₹160 crore fundraising via NCDs; details here

Embassy Developments shares jumped as much as 8% to touch an intraday high of ₹58.4 apiece on Monday, September 21, after the firm’s board of directors gave a nod for fundraising through NCDs.

The real estate firm, in a regulatory filing dated September 19, said that its board has approved raising up to ₹160 crore through the issuance of up to 16,000 non-convertible debentures (NCDs), with a face value of ₹1 lakh each, on a private placement basis, in one or more tranches.

Last week, Embassy Developments had informed that it will develop two housing projects in Bengaluru with an estimated revenue of ₹4,500 crore as part of its expansion plan.

The firm launched an 85-acre residential township project, Embassy Origins, in North Bengaluru. The first phase of the development comprises two RERA-approved residential projects—Embassy Riverine and Embassy South Reserve.

The estimated revenue of these two projects in the township is ₹4,500 crore. In these two projects, Embassy Developments will build 217 villas and 855 apartments. Together, the two projects offer more than 2.6 million sq ft of saleable residential space.

At 10:18 AM, Embassy Developments shares were trading at ₹58 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, surging 7.65%.

From the beginning of the year, Embassy Developments shares have fallen 2.4%. Over a month’s time, the stock has slipped 10.5%, while for a six-month period, it has surged 28%.

Shares of the firm had hit a 52-week high of ₹105.70 on September 18, 2025, and a 52-week low of ₹39.46 on March 30, 2026.
