The pharma major posted a 28.02% year-on-year (YoY) surge in its consolidated net profit (attributable to the owners of the company) to ₹169.5 crore during the quarter under review, compared with ₹132.4 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).
Its revenue from operations jumped 19.10% YoY to ₹797.7 crore in the first quarter of FY26, as against ₹669.8 crore in the corresponding quarter of the preceding fiscal year.
At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, stood at ₹2,475 crore for the reporting quarter, marking a 28.71% YoY increase from ₹1,923 crore in Q1 FY26.
Its EBITDA margin expanded by 230 basis points (bps) to 31% in the June FY27 quarter, from 28.7% in the year-ago period.
Dr. Lal PathLabs, in its investors’ presentation, said it reported the highest quarterly revenue growth in the past four years, driven primarily by strong volume performance during the quarter. Sample volume grew 10.7% annually, while patient volume increased 8.2% YoY.
“We delivered a strong performance in Q1 driven by healthy volume growth and an improved test and geography mix. It is important to note that this revenue growth is on the back up of strong operational growth momentum. Our disciplined execution enabled us to sustain strong profitability, even as we continued to reinvest in the business to support long-term growth,” said Ved Goel, Group CFO & CEO—International Business, Dr. Lal PathLabs.
“Maintaining margins while continuing to invest in future capabilities demonstrates the strength of our operating model and our execution capabilities. Our ability to balance growth investments with profitability remains a key competitive advantage,” Goel added.
Analysts at Morgan Stanley said that volume growth remained a key driver for Dr. Lal PathLabs’ performance. They also highlighted that the company’s management has raised its FY27 revenue growth guidance to the mid-teens, compared with its earlier outlook of low to mid-teens growth.

Furthermore, the firm’s board also fixed July 30, 2026, as the record date for the interim dividend. “The Interim Dividend will be paid within 30 days of its declaration,” it said.
The board of Dr. Lal Path Labs’ wholly owned subsidiary, Dr. Lal PathLabs FZCO, Dubai, approved the acquisition of a stake in Sunshine Healthcare Limited (SHL), Ghana.
It will acquire a 100% stake from the existing shareholder of SHL in three tranches, such that it will acquire 80% in the first tranche, 10% in the second and the remaining 10% in the third. The proposed investment will be up to GHS 45.6 million (or ₹38 crore) for an 80% stake to be acquired in the first tranche.
“The closing with respect to the investment of the first tranche is expected to be completed by August 31, 2026, or such other date mutually agreed between the parties,” it stated.
Furthermore, the board of another one of Dr. Lal Path Labs’ wholly owned subsidiary, Dr. Lal Ventures Private Limited, approved subscribing to a 30% stake in one or more tranches in Neuome Technologies Private Limited (Neuome).
The proposed investment will be up to ₹3.5 crore for the subscription of a 30% stake.
At 11:37 AM, Dr. Lal Path Labs’ shares were trading at ₹1,858 apiece on the National Stock Exchange, gaining 5.62%.
From the beginning of the year, the stock has jumped 23%. Over a month’s time, it has climbed 13%, while it has rallied 33% in the past six months.
According to NSE data, as of July 27, 2026, Dr. Lal Path Labs has a total market capitalisation of ₹31,222.53 crore.
