Concord Biotech shares surge 5% as board to meet on September 23 to consider bonus issue; check details

Concord Biotech share price: Shares of Concord Biotech soared as much as 5.2% to hit an intraday high of ₹1,572.30 per unit on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Monday, September 21, compared with Friday’s closing of ₹1,494.40 apiece.

The buying interest in the stock comes as the company informed the exchanges that its board of directors is scheduled to meet on September 23 to consider the proposal for a bonus issue.

At around 11:19 AM, the stock was trading 4.31% higher at ₹1,558.80 per equity share. The scrip has advanced 4% over the week and 17% on a year-to-date (YTD) basis.

While the shares hit a 52-week high of ₹1,704 per unit on September 19, 2025, they touched a year’s low of ₹987 apiece on April 2, 2026.

“We hereby inform you that the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Company is scheduled to be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, inter alia, to consider the proposal for declaration of bonus equity shares to the existing equity shareholders of the Company in accordance with the applicable provisions, subject to approval of the shareholders of the Company,” it said in a regulatory filing dated September 19.

In a separate regulatory filing dated September 18, the company said that the US FDA inspected its formulation facility located at Unit II–297–298/2p in Ahmedabad, Gujarat.

The US FDA successfully completed the inspection on September 18, 2026, and at the conclusion, issued one minor observation, which was procedural in nature and not related to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Concord Biotech stated.

The drug manufacturer said that it will submit a comprehensive response to the observation within the stipulated timeline, adding that it does not expect this development to have any material impact on the current business operations or existing supplies from the facility.

Concord Biotech Q1 results

The firm reported a 32.8% year-on-year (YoY) jump in its net profit to ₹58.5 crore in the April-June quarter of the 2026-27 financial year (Q1 FY27), compared with ₹44.05 crore in the same period last year.

Its revenue from operations stood at ₹257.4 crore during the quarter under review, marking a 26.2% YoY increase from ₹204 crore in the first quarter of the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1 FY26).
