CDSL March quarter results

CDSL’s consolidated net profit contracted by 22.4% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹100.39 crore in the fourth quarter of FY25, compared to ₹129.41 crore in the corresponding period last fiscal year.

The depository’s revenue from operations also fell 6.7% YoY to ₹224.45 crore in the quarter under review, as against ₹240.78 crore in the March quarter of FY24.

At an operational level, its EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation) stood at ₹107.35 crore, declining 27% YoY from ₹148.02 crore in Q4FY24. CDSL’s margin shrank to 47.8% from 61.4%.

The depository’s board of directors had also recommended a final dividend of ₹12.5 per equity share with a face value of ₹10 each for the 2024-25 financial year, subject to shareholder approval at the ensuing AGM.

Considering the 1:1 bonus shares it issued in August 2024, the proposed final dividend rate is CDSL’s highest.
