Borana Weaves IPO listing: Borana Weaves shares made a decent debut at the bourses on Tuesday, May 27.

The stock listed at ₹243 apiece, which was 12.5% higher than its issue price of ₹216 on both the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

According to NSE data, the ₹144.89 crore initial share sale received bids for 54,88,84,443 shares against 36,89,457 shares put on offer. The initial public offering (IPO) of Borana Weaves got subscribed a huge 148.77 times on the closing day of bidding on Thursday, May 22.

At 12:56 PM, shares of the company were trading at ₹255.15 apiece, rising 5%. On NSE, its market capitalisation stood at ₹679.85 crore.

The category for non-institutional investors (NII) fetched a whopping 237.41 times subscription, while the quota for retail individual investors received 200.50 times subscription. The portion for qualified institutional buyers (QIB) got subscribed to 87.21 times.

The IPO of up to 67,08,000 equity shares has a price range of ₹205-216 per share. Beeline Capital Advisors was the bookrunning lead manager to the offer.

Borana Weaves had reserved 75% of shares in the IPO for large investors like banks, mutual funds and foreign institutional investors, which fall under the category of QIBs; 10% of shares in the IPO are set aside for the retail investors and 15% are reserved for non-institutional investors.

The company will use the proceeds from the IPO to finance the cost of establishing a new manufacturing unit to expand its production capabilities, fund incremental working capital requirements and for general corporate purposes.

“Trading Members of the Exchange are hereby informed that effective from May 27, 2025, the equity shares of Borana Weaves Ltd (Scrip Code: 544404) are listed and admitted to dealings on the Exchange in the list of ''T'' Group Securities. For further details please refer to the notice no. 20250526- dated May 26, 2025,” the company had said on a notice to BSE ahead of its listing.

Borana Weaves Limited is a manufacturer of unbleached synthetic grey fabric based in Surat, Gujarat. The company's unbleached synthetic grey fabric is often widely used as a base for further processing (including dyeing and printing) in industries such as fashion, traditional textiles, technical textiles, home decor, interior design, etc.
