Bharti Hexacom’s revenue from its mobile services business grew 17.8% YoY to ₹2,191.6 crore in Q1FY26.
Shares of Bharti Hexacom slipped as much as 3.44% to an intra-day low of ₹1,783.8 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday, August 6, a day after posting its June quarter results for the 2025-26 fiscal year (Q1FY26).
During Q1FY26, the telecom company’s net profit fell as much as 23% year-on-year (YoY) to ₹391.6 crore, compared to ₹511.2 crore in the corresponding quarter a year ago.
Its revenue from operations stood at ₹2,263 crore during the quarter under review, marking an 18% YoY jump from ₹1,910.6 crore in the first quarter of FY25, it said in a regulatory filing dated Tuesday.
The Airtel subsidiary’s average revenue per user (ARPU) was up 20% YoY to ₹246 during the quarter, compared to ₹205 in Q1FY25. Its mobile data consumption rose by 23.8% YoY to 29.4 GB per consumer per month in Q1FY26, with mobile data traffic standing at 1,824 PBs.
The firm’s revenue from its mobile services business grew 17.8% YoY to ₹2,191.6 crore during the June quarter of FY26, as against ₹1,860.4 crore in the year-ago period, driven by tariff repair, strong smartphone data, customer additions, and improvement in portfolio mix.
Furthermore, it generated ₹78.4 crore in revenue from the homes and office services business during the reporting quarter, surging 38.03% YoY from ₹56.8 crore in Q1FY25, bolstered by strong customer acquisition.
The quarter reported net customer additions of 54,000, reflecting expansion across both FTTH (Fiber to the Home) and FWA (Fixed Wireless Access) segments, the company said.
At an operational level, Bharti Hexacom’s EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortisation), also known as operating profit, surged 33.5% YoY to ₹121.7 crore in the first quarter of the current fiscal year, compared to ₹ 91.2 crore in the June FY25 quarter.
Its EBITDA margin expanded to 53.8% during the quarter, as against 47.7% in Q1FY25, driven by operating leverage and cost reduction associated with the War on Waste program.
Bharti Hexacom maintained robust growth in its smartphone market share, adding 1.6 million smartphone data customers to its network over the past year, representing a 7.9% YoY increase.
“Over the past 12 months, we have deployed 518 towers to enhance coverage and connectivity across both rural and urban areas,” the firm said.
At around 1:11 pm, Bharti Hexacom stocks were trading 3.1% lower at ₹1,790 per equity share.
The telecom company has a total market capitalisation of ₹89,500 crore, as of August 6, 2025, as per data on the NSE.
