Shares of Bharti Hexacom opened 5% higher on Wednesday, May 14, hitting its 52-week high of ₹1,789.90 apiece after the telecom operator reported over a twofold jump in profit after tax to ₹468.4 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2025, mainly driven by tariff hikes.

The company had posted profit after tax (PAT) of ₹222.6 crore in the same period a year ago.

Revenue from operations of the Bharti Airtel group firm grew by 22.5% to ₹2,289 crore during the reported quarter from ₹1,868 crore in the March 2024 quarter.

"Mobile revenues grew by 22% YoY, led by tariff repair and our relentless focus to premiumise the portfolio and win quality customers. We continue to deliver industry-leading ARPU growth along with strong growth in data consumption," Bharti Hexacom said in a statement.

Mobile average revenue per user of Bharti Hexacom increased to ₹242 in the March 2025 quarter from ₹204 in the year-ago quarter.

For the year ended March 31, 2025, Bharti Hexacom posted an almost threefold jump in PAT to ₹1,493.6 crore from ₹504 crore in FY'24.

Revenue from operations of Bharti Hexacom grew by 20.5% to ₹8,548 crore in FY25 from ₹7,089 crore in FY24.

The Board has considered and recommended a final dividend of ₹10 per equity, a fully paid-up equity share of face value ₹5 each for the financial year 2024-25. The dividend is in proportion to the amount paid up on each equity share of face value ₹5 each.

“We continue to garner strong market share of 4G/5G customers and added 2.0 Mn 4G/5G data customers to our network over the last year, an increase of 10.3% YoY,” Bharti Hexacom said in a statement.

The telecom firm rolled out 162 towers in the quarter to further strengthen network coverage and provide seamless connectivity. “We rolled out 793 towers in the last 12 months to expand coverage and connectivity in rural as well as urban areas,” it said.

Bharti Hexacom, in collaboration with Bharti Airtel, entered into a strategic partnership with Apple to bring the highly acclaimed Apple TV+ streaming services and Apple Music to Bharti Hexacom customers.

Homes and office businesses maintained their growth trajectory and delivered a revenue growth of 29.6% YoY, a result of the company’s strategy to rapidly expand cities under coverage and deepen its presence in cities and towns.

Bharti Hexacom shares were trading 2.42% higher on the National Stock Exchange at ₹1744.60 apiece.

Over the last five trading days, the company’s shares gained 1%, while for a month’s period, the stock has surged 14%.

Since November 14, 2024, which is six months, shares of the firm have climbed 21%.

The company’s market capitalisation stands at ₹86,290 crore.

Shares of the firm had touched its 52-week low of ₹878.65 on May 13, 2025.
