BEL share price: Shares of Bharat Electronics (BEL), the state-run aerospace and defence electronics company, were trading flat with a positive bias on Tuesday, May 19, ahead of the company's March quarter (Q4 FY26) earnings announcement.

In early May 2026, defence PSU BEL, Metamind Systems Private Ltd, and Kristellar Aerospace Private Ltd signed a tripartite MoU for co-operation and co-development of future-ready products and technologies for both defence and non-defence segments.

The MoU aims to leverage their complementary strengths in business facilitation and technological innovation, BEL said, in a statement.

While Metamind is an Indian technology firm specialising in AI-driven data analytics and digital transformation solutions, Kristellar is a next-generation Indian Aerospace & Defence technology startup engaged in the design, development, and manufacture of mission-critical products,systems, and solutions in Aerospace and Defence technologies.

"By combining BEL's manufacturing capabilities and marketing outreach, Metamind's expertise in strategic government relations, project governance and operational management, and Kristellar's advanced R&D capabilities and systems engineering, the collaboration will enhance competitiveness, mitigate execution risks and ensure the delivery of scalable, future-ready solutions, thereby maximising the long-term value and success of projects undertaken," BEL said in the statement.

According to BEL, with the objective of strengthening indigenous capabilities and supporting the Government of India's Make in India initiative, the companies aim to cooperate in areas such as advanced technology development, manufacturing, and the supply of aerospace and defence systems, electronic modules, and sub-systems.

March 2026

Navratna Defence PSU BEL in early March said it had signed an MOU with Bellatrix Aerospace, a space tech company specialising in satellite propulsion systems and satellite subsystems, to collaborate on the design, development, and manufacturing of satellite systems and payloads.

The collaboration brings together Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL's) decades of experience in developing advanced electronics and mission-critical payloads for defence and strategic applications with Bellatrix Aerospace's innovative capabilities in satellite propulsion and satellite subsystems, the company said.

By combining their complementary strengths, the partnership aims to advance indigenous capabilities in satellite platforms designed for Very Low Earth Orbit (VLEO) operations, it said in a release.

In another development in March itself, BEL said it signed an MoU with SASMOS HET Technologies Ltd, an aerospace and defence interconnect solutions manufacturer, to strengthen indigenous defence production capabilities.

Under the MoU, BEL and SASMOS will combine their expertise in defence electronics, system integration and precision manufacturing to support defence programmes, with a focus on localisation of critical components, enhancing domestic value addition and strengthening production capabilities and exports, BEL said in a statement.

Q3 FY26 earnings

The Navratna defence PSU's profit after tax (PAT) during the third quarter of 2025-26 stood at ₹1,590.06 crore, with a growth of 20.82% over the PAT of ₹1,316.06 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to a regulatory filing by the company.

The company achieved revenue from operations of ₹7,121.98 crore, registering a growth of 23.73% during the December quarter of 2025-26 against ₹5,756.12 crore recorded in the corresponding period of the previous year, it added.

Analysts said better-than-expected Q3 results from Bharat Electronics supported the positive momentum in the defence space.
