Antony Waste Handling Cell shares surged as much as 11.57% to hit an intraday high of ₹554.60 apiece on Tuesday, December 23, as the company’s arm bagged an order worth ₹329.45 crore.

The company’s subsidiary Antony Lara Enviro Solutions Private secured a pre-processing waste management contract by the Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC).

“The award highlights the continued confidence and trust placed by municipal authorities in AWHCL’s proven execution capabilities, operational excellence, and integrated approach across the solid waste management value chain,” the firm said in a regulatory filing.

The contract involves the establishment of a 600–800 TPD Solid Waste Pre-processing Plant on a Design, Build, Operate and Transfer (DBOT) basis on land owned by Thane Municipal Corporation (TMC) at Atkoli, Taluka Bhiwandi.

The scope of work includes the setting up of a Material Recovery Facility (MRF) for segregation of mixed solid waste, encompassing design, engineering, construction, commissioning, and comprehensive operation and maintenance of the facility for a period of 10 years.

The total project capital expenditure is estimated at ~₹67 crore, which shall be reimbursed by Thane Municipal Corporation upon achievement of prescribed milestones, in accordance with the terms and conditions of the tender document.

Commenting on the contract, Jose Jacob, Chairman & Managing Director, Antony Waste Handling Cell, said, “Building on our established C&T operations, this project further strengthens our relationship with Thane Municipal Authority, reflecting the trust placed in our execution capabilities and operational track record. The long-term nature of the contract enhances revenue visibility that aligns with our strategic objective of creating sustained value creation over the long term.”

Shares of the company have gained 18% in the last month, while they have slipped 11% in six months. Since the beginning of 2025, the stock has tumbled 13%. The firm has a market capitalisation of ₹1,525.82 crore.

Shares of the bank had touched their one-year high of ₹693 apiece on July 3, 2024, while their 52-week low of ₹408.05 was hit on December 9, 2025.
