Adani Power's board to consider stock split, share price rises over 4%; check key details

Adani Power on Monday, July 29, announced that its board of directors will consider a stock split of its existing equity shares of the face value of ₹10 each.

The company's board of directors will hold a meeting on Friday, August 1, 2025, to, inter alia, consider the proposal for "alteration in the share capital of the company by way of sub-division or split of the existing equity shares of the face value ₹10 each, fully paid-up, in such a manner as may be determined by the board."

The company is also set to disclose its June FY26 quarter results on August 1.

Recent development

On July 7, Adani Power completed the 100% acquisition of Vidarbha Industries Power Ltd (VPIL), a company undergoing the Corporate Insolvency Resolution Process (CIRP).

Under the implementation of the approved resolution plan approved by the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLAT), Adani Power acquired VPIL on a debt-free basis, making the latter a wholly owned subsidiary of the company.

Adani Power share performance

The stock of the company surged as much as 4.21% to an intra-day high of ₹594.70 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

It closed 3.73% higher at ₹591.95 apiece on Tuesday.

The share fell 4.15% over the previous week and but has gained 0.51% since the beginning of July. The scrip gained 15.01% in the first quarter of FY26 and 10.96% on a year-to-date basis.

While the scrip reached a 52-week low of ₹432 on November 21, 2024, it hit a year's high of ₹752.90 apiece on August 1, 2024.
