Vishal Mega Mart IPO price band was fixed at ₹74-₹78 per share. The IPO was entirely an offer-for-sale (OFS) without a fresh issue component. The total issue size was 102.56 crore shares, aggregating to ₹8,000 crore.
The OFS is by promoter Samayat Services LLP, which presently holds a 96.55% stake in the company. Post-issue the promoter shareholding will be reduced to 76.02%.
As it is exclusively an OFS, the entire IPO proceeds will go to the selling shareholders.
Vishal Mega Mart's IPO share listing on the National Stock Exchange (NSE) and the BSE has been scheduled for Wednesday, December 18. The stock will start trading at 10 am on the stock exchanges.
Vishal Mega Mart posted a revenue of ₹5,053.42 crore for the period ended September 2024. The company’s profit after tax (PAT) for the period stood at ₹254.1 crore.
In the financial year 2023-24 (FY24), the company reported a revenue of ₹8,911 crore compared to ₹7,586 crore in the previous fiscal. Its net profit stood at ₹461.94 crore in FY24 as against the net profit of ₹321.27 crore in FY23.
Vishal Mega Mart Ltd primarily caters to the middle and lower-middle-income consumers through its supermarket chain. The company’s product portfolio includes a diverse range of items from apparels to home furnishing. Apart from its own products, the company also offers third-party merchandise like kitchen items, daily household products, apparel and staples, among others.
The company’s products are mainly divided into three categories — general merchandise, apparel, and fast-moving consumer goods. The company operated 645 Vishal Mega Mart stores as of Q2FY25. It also offers products through Vishal Mega Mart mobile app and website.
