Vikram Solar IPO allotment is all set to be finalised on Friday, August 26, after the solar PV module manufacturer received a strong response from investors during the three-day bidding period.

The company's initial public offer, which sought to raise ₹2,079.37 crore, attracted 54.63 times subscription. It received bids for 2,47,81,57,965 shares compared to 4,53,61,650 shares on offer, as per the cumulative data on NSE.

The qualified institutional buyers' (QIBs) quota mobilised 142.79 times the subscription. The non-institutional investors' category got a 50.90 times subscription, while the part for retail investors got subscribed 7.65 times.

Before the IPO, Vikram Solar had collected ₹621 crore from anchor investors.

The initial share sale, with a price band of ₹315 to ₹332 per share, consisted of new shares worth ₹1,500 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) aggregating to ₹579.37 crore.

The company proposes to use fresh issue proceeds for capital expenditure in its wholly owned unit, VSL Green Power Pvt Ltd, for both Phase I and Phase II of the project. It will also be used for general corporate purposes.

Vikram Solar is one of the largest solar photovoltaic module manufacturers, with an installed capacity of 4.5 GW. It operates in three business divisions: PV module sales, exports and EPC & O&M services. Its key clients include NTPC, Neyveli Lignite Corporation, Gujarat Industries Power Company, ACME Cleantech Solutions, Azure Power India, JSW Energy, Adani Green Energy, and Rays Power Infra, among others.

JM Financial, Nuvama Wealth Management, UBS Securities, Equirus Capital and PhillipCapital were the book-running lead managers to the offer.
