SUMMARY

Transrail Lighting IPO: The initial public offering of Transrail Lighting Ltd will open for public subscription on December 19. The issue will conclude on December 23.
The price band has yet to be announced.
According to the red herring prospectus (RHP), the initial share sale consists of a fresh issue of equity shares worth ₹400 crore and an offer-for-sale of 1.02 crore shares by promoter Ajanma Holdings Pvt Ltd.
Currently, Ajanma Holdings has an 83.22% stake in the Mumbai-based firm.
The bidding for anchor investors will take place on December 18.
The IPO proceeds will be used to support capital expenditure, fund working capital requirements and general corporate purposes.
The company has reserved 50% of the issue for qualified institutional buyers, 35% for retail investors and the remaining 15% for non-institutional investors.
Transrail Lighting is engaged in engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services focusing on power transmission and distribution business and manufacturing facilities for conductors, lattice structures and monopoles. The company has a presence in more than 58 countries.
It has undertaken an EPC of 33,500 circuit kilometres of transmission lines and 30,000 circuit kilometres of distribution lines in India and other countries.
Axis Capital, Inga Ventures, IDBI Capital Markets & Securities, and HDFC Bank are the issue's book-running lead managers, while Link Intime India is the registrar.
The company's consolidated post-tax profit increased 116.79% to ₹233.21 crore in the financial year 2023-24. In the year-ago period, the net profit was ₹107.57 crore.
Revenue surged 30.2% to ₹4,130 crore in FY24, compared to ₹3,172.03 crore a year earlier.
In the first quarter of FY25, the revenue and net profit stood at ₹929.70 crore and ₹51.74 crore, respectively.
Transrail Lighting's net worth stands at ₹1,140.65 crore as of June 30, 2024.
