SUMMARY

Shares of film and television production company Sunshine Pictures Ltd made a decent debut on the stock exchanges on Tuesday, August 25.

The stock started trading at ₹395.90 per share on the National Stock Exchange (NSE), reflecting a premium of 9.97% over the IPO issue price of ₹360 per equity share.

On the BSE, it listed at ₹394 per share, up 9.44% from the issue price.

Sunshine Pictures share price: Here's how much investors made per lot

A lot consisted of 41 shares and cost ₹14,760. Investors who received Sunshine Pictures IPO allotment made ₹1,471.9 per lot, taking the value of their investment to ₹16,231.9, as per the listing price on the NSE.

The ₹282.14 crore initial public offering was a combination of fresh issuance of shares totalling ₹172.80 crore and an offer for sale (OFS) component of ₹109.34 crore by promoters Shefali Vipul Shah and Vipul Amrutlal Shah.

The money generated will be used for working capital needs and corporate general purposes. In its red herring prospectus (RHP), the company said, "We expect to achieve the benefit of listing of our equity shares on the stock exchanges and enhancement of our company's visibility and brand image and creation of a public market for our equity shares in India."

The initial share sale was subscribed 105.81 times, as it received bids for 58,04,90,382 shares against 54,86,051 shares on offer, as per the NSE data.
