Shares of SS Retail Ltd on Wednesday, September 23, listed at ₹624, a premium of 47.17% over the issue price of ₹424 on the National Stock Exchange (NSE).

The stock started trading at ₹639.10, up 50.73% from the issue price on the BSE.

SS Retail share price: Here's how much investors made per lot

A lot consisted of 35 shares and cost ₹14,840. Investors who received the SS Retail IPO allotment made ₹7,000 per lot, taking the value of their investment to ₹21,840, as per the listing price on the NSE.

The initial public offering was booked 103.30 times. It received bids for 90,83,98,995 shares against 87,93,884 shares on offer, as per data available on the BSE website.

Qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) led the bidding, as the quota reserved for them fetched 203.61 times subscription. The part for non-institutional investors was booked 143.32 times, and the retail investors' portion was subscribed 36.36 times.

The ₹500 crore IPO was a mix of a fresh issuance of ₹360 crore and an offer-for-sale of ₹140 crore by promoters Deepa Siddharth Shah, Bhavini Harshal Parekh, Siddharth Gunvant Shah and Harshal Kishor Parekh, and investor Rakhi Narendra Firodia.

The fresh issue proceeds are intended for funding capital expenditure needs for fit-outs towards establishing new stores in FY27 and FY28, parting funding incremental working capital needs and general corporate purposes.

"Our company expects to receive the benefits of listing of the equity shares on the Stock Exchanges and enhancement of our company’s visibility and brand image and creation of a public market for our equity shares in India," the firm said in its red herring prospectus.

SS Retail Ltd is a retail chain for mobile phones, accessories and electronic items. It operates in states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh. As of the fiscal year 2026, it operated 503 stores in India.
