NSE IPO listing date: Shares of India's largest stock exchange, the National Stock Exchange of India (NSE), will make their stock market debut on Thursday, September 24. The ₹22,561.57 crore initial public offering was subscribed to nearly six times during the bidding period. The NSE IPO allotment status was finalised on Tuesday, September 22.

As the listing is just a day away, here are the key things you should know.

NSE IPO: Subscription

The initial share sale got bids for 50,58,11,384 shares, which is 5.71 times over 8,86,42,911 shares reserved for investors, as per the consolidated data available on the BSE website.

The qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) placed bids for 31,97,15,504 shares compared to 2,52,07,867 shares on offer, leading to a 12.68 times subscription.

The non-institutional investors (NIIs) category was booked 6.55 times, as they submitted applications for 12,37,51,624 shares against 1,89,00,483 shares on offer.

Retail investors applied for 6,13,05,464 shares compared to 4,41,01,125 shares reserved. This reflects a 1.39 times subscription.

NSE IPO: A look at its objectives

The IPO was only an offer for sale of 12.64 crore shares worth ₹22,561.57 crore. There was no fresh issuance of shares.

Under the OFS, State Bank of India, SBI Capital Markets, Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, Aranda Investments (Mauritius), New India Assurance Company, MS Strategic (Mauritius), Stock Holding Corporation of India, United India Insurance Company, General Insurance Corporation of India and Bank of Baroda divested their stake.

Since there was no fresh issue component, the company will not get any proceeds from the public offer. The money will go to selling shareholders.

NSE IPO: Share credit and refund date

NSE shares will be transferred to the Demat accounts of successful allottees on Wednesday, September 23. For unsuccessful investors, refunds will be processed on the same day.

NSE IPO: Listing date and time

The NSE IPO share listing on the BSE (formerly Bombay Stock Exchange) will take place on Thursday, September 24, at 10 am.
