Rexpro Enterprises Ltd’s initial public offering (IPO) was booked more than 18 times on the last day of bidding on Friday, January 24, riding on strong demand from retail investors.
The issue opened for subscription on January 22 and was booked fully within hours of the start of bidding.
At the close of bidding on Friday, the IPO of the furniture maker received applications for over 6.22 crore equity shares against 35.14 lakh shares on offer. The NSE SME issue was overall booked 18.23 times.
The retail investors placed bids for over 4.76 crore shares against 17.57 lakh shares on offer, leading to a subscription of 27.11 times in the category. The Non-Institutional Investors (NIIs) applied for over 1.46 crore shares compared to 17.57 lakh shares on offer. The NIIs booked their segment 8.32 times.
Rexpro Enterprises is expected to finalise the share allotment status on Monday, January 27. Successful bidders will be informed through emails and SMS by the company. The investors can also check the allotment status on the websites of the IPO registrar, Cameo Corporate Services, and the NSE.
The company has proposed to issue refunds on January 28. Shares would be credited to the Demat accounts of successful bidders on the same day.
Rexpro Enterprises is a manufacturer of furniture and fixture equipment for retailers across segments such as fashion, lifestyle, electronics, grocery, beauty and telecom, among others. It designs and sets up complete standalone stores, shop-in-shops, kiosks and displays for local as well as global brands and several large Indian retailers.
The company has also ventured into products with high potential such high-precision double doors used at Metro stations (platform screen doors) for better safety and prevention of accidents at the stations. These have been conceptualised and manufactured in-house.
Its subsidiary undertakes the manufacturing of racking systems and fixtures catering especially to the warehousing industry.
The company has proposed to use the IPO proceeds from the fresh issue to renovate its factory and finance the working capital requirements, fund organic growth and meet general corporate purposes.
