Orkla India share price: Shares of Orkla India, which owns spices and condiments brands MTR and Eastern, made a tepid debut on the stock exchanges on Thursday, November 6.

The stock listed at ₹750.10 apiece on the National Stock Exchange (NSE). This reflects a premium of 2.75% over the IPO issue price of ₹730 per share.

On the BSE, the stock started trading at ₹751.50, up 2.95% from the issue price.

Orkla India share price: Here's how much investors made per lot

A lot consisted of 20 shares. Investors who received the Orkla India IPO allotment made ₹15,002 per lot.

The ₹1,667.54 crore IPO was exclusively an offer for sale (OFS) of 2.28 crore shares by promoter Orkla Asia Pacific and shareholders Navas Meeran and Feroz Meeran.

Since it was only an OFS, the firm will not get any proceeds from the issue. The entire money raised will go to the selling shareholders.

The initial share sale was subscribed a total of 48.73 times, with bids for 77,96,62,340 shares against 1,59,99,104 shares on offer, as per the NSE data.

The quota reserved for qualified institutional buyers (QIBs) was booked 117.63 times. They applied for 53,67,11,380 shares compared to 45,62,601 shares on offer.

The non-institutional investors' part was subscribed 54.42 times, with 18,62,20,760 bids against 34,21,951 shares available.

Retail investors placed bids for 5,62,76,360 equity shares compared to 79,84,552 shares on offer, showing a subscription of 7.05 times.

Before the IPO, the company raised ₹499.6 crore from anchor investors, including Aditya Birla Sun Life AMC, Nippon Life India, Ashoka WhiteOak, Nomura Funds, Jupiter Global Fund, Pinebridge Global Funds, Government Pension Fund Global, Edelweiss, Tata Investment Corporation, Bajaj Finserv MF, Baroda BNP Paribas MF, LIC MF, Viridian Asia Opportunities Master Fund, Société Générale, Copthall Mauritius Investment and Aurigin Master Fund.
